Sembilan pekerja asing terkorban dalam kejadian tanah runtuh di tapak projek pembinaan Lebuhraya Berkembar Bukit Kukus, Paya Terubong pada 19 Oktober 2018.
Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan berkata, Yuta Maju Sdn Bhd dan pengarah projeknya mengaku tidak bersalah terhadap 3 pertuduhan itu di depan Hakim Madzi Abdul Hamid. JKKP berkata, dalam pertuduhan pertama, Yuta Maju didakwa gagal menggunakan pengiraan kejuruteraan oleh jurutera bertauliah bagi kerja “backfill” tanah untuk cerun sementara menyebabkan tanah runtuh berlaku pada 19 Oktober 2018.
Dalam laporan kerajaan negeri sebelum ini, sebanyak 14 rasuk konkrit yang setiap satu berukuran 25m dilaporkan jatuh di lereng Jalan Tun Sardon akibat pengendali kren tidak sengaja melanggar sebatang rasuk yang terletak di atas tanah.
