KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd menafikan dakwaan bahawa China Communications Construction Company Ltd mempunyai sebarang hak dan kepentingan terhadap hasil mineral dan galian di negeri yang terlibat semasa pembinaan projek ECRL sepanjang 640 kilometer.
“Antaranya, Seksyen 40 Kanun Tanah Negara, dengan jelas menyatakan semua galian dan bahan batuan yang terkandung atau berada di atas tanah adalah hak milik kerajaan negeri melalui pihak berkuasa negeri,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini. MRL menafikan dakwaan berita dan ulasan yang menyatakan hasil mineral dan galian seperti emas dan silika akan dimiliki oleh CCCC ketika pembinaan rangkaian rel ECRL.
MRL juga mengulangi pihaknya adalah pemilik penuh aset rangkaian rel ECRL dalam syarikat usaha sama 50:50 yang akan ditubuhkan bersama CCCC untuk operasi dan penyelenggaraan ECRL.MRL, anak syarikat milik penuh Menteri Kewangan , juga menjelaskan pelantikan utama ahli lembaga pengarah dan pengurusan tertinggi dalam syarikat usaha sama akan ditetapkan oleh kerajaan Malaysia.
