Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng says he will investigate whether Kojadi received other government funds, including from his ministry.
He told the Dewan Rakyat that Kojadi had returned RM6 million to Yayasan 1MDB of the RM15 million granted to the cooperative. This was after its now-suspended chairman Ng Peng Hay claimed that MCA president Wee Ka Siong had stopped him from meeting the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission over 1MDB-linked funds.Ng’s claim followed MACC’s announcement of civil forfeiture suits against 41 individuals and entities said to have received money from 1MDB.
