Instead of having to set up a playlist of tunes before getting in the shower and then having difficulty modifying the sound once under the water, Kohler announced a showerhead outfitted with an intelligent speaker that gives owners the ability to control their tunes using just their voice.
Though the Alexa-powered wireless speaker can be purchased with the Moxie showerhead, it can be attached on almost any showerhead thanks to its magnetic docking system. Naturally, the speaker is waterproof with an IPX67 rating and has been optimised for in-shower use where sound is typically mutated by the running water.
It has up to seven hours of battery life and pairs with devices like smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth. The Moxie showerhead and smart speaker are expected to go on sale later this year for about US$100 to US$330 depending on which package and showerhead finish you choose. The product will be on display at CES 2020 which takes place in Las Vegas from Jan 7 to Jan 10. – AFP Relaxnews
