Klang And Kuala Selangor Residents Warned Of High Tides, Bomba Deployed To Monitor Water Levels | TRP

Residents in Klang, Kuala Selangor and nearby areas have been advised to be on alert following the issuance of a high tide phenomenon starting today .

On 17 and 18 December 2021, the tide reached 4.7m and 4.8m. According to Amirudin, the state government has identified several flood hotspots around Taman Melawis. Amirudin also said the Selangor government will propose measures to send advance equipment to temporary evacuation centres in flood-prone areas.

The Star reported that the Fire and Rescue Department teams had been deployed to monitor areas likely to experience high tides in Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor and Klang today.
