PETALING JAYA: The decision by MCA and MIC to sit out the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election campaign if Barisan Nasional does not field a candidate must be reconsidered, says Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail .
"In celebrating the more mature politics especially after GE15 , component parties of Barisan Nasional, including Umno, should embrace this change as we have collectively agreed to form the unity government," he said in a statement Sunday . "I hope MIC and MCA will reconsider their decision so that the unity government pact will ensure a win for the coalition and the seat remains under the ruling government, which is the core of stability and prosperity for the country at this time," the Pahang Mentri Besar said.
On April 4, the Election Commission had set the date for Nomination Day and early voting for the by-election on April 27 and May 7, respectively.
