KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 — Newly-appointed Sabah FC head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee has not received any pressure from the team management ahead of his first task in the Malaysia Cup 2021 which starts this Sunday.
“If we can get out of the group stage, that is a bonus and of course after that we have to think about planning for not only for the knockout stage, but to identify what I need to do for the 2022 season,” he said when contacted by Bernama. He said the Malaysia Cup was one of the platforms for the Sabah FC players to display their ability to be in the team’s planning for the 2022 season.
He had earlier resigned from the position of Technical Director of the Football Association of Malaysia which he held since January 1 this year.
