Menteri Pembangunan Kerajaan Tempatan, Nga Kor Ming berkata, sebanyak RM2.46 juta daripada jumlah itu disediakan oleh kementeriannya manakala selebihnya merupakan peruntukan Ahli Parlimen, Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri dan Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh .
“Peruntukan yang diluluskan ini merupakan performance-based budget atau peruntukan yang berlandaskan kepada pelaksanaan bagi memastikan perkhidmatan dan fokus KPKT terhadap kesejahteraan rakyat dapat terus dipertingkatkan. Tidak ada pembaziran, ketirisan dan pemborosan. Menurutnya, selain naik taraf pasar awam bernilai RM1 juta, peruntukan tersebut turut membabitkan penggantian salur air di Dataran Niaga Taman Cempaka dan menaik taraf jalan termasuk kerja-kerja pelebaran di Persiaran Lapangan Siber 1, Bandar Seri Botani.
