: Sebanyak 2,623 kematian akibat tuberkulosis atau tibi direkodkan tahun lepas, meningkat dua peratus atau 51 kes berbanding 2022, kata Menteri Kesihatan Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.
“Dengan adanya rawatan yang boleh menyembuhkan penyakit tibi, usaha bagi mengesan awal dan memulakan rawatan secepat mungkin perlu ditingkatkan,” katanya. “Salah faham berkaitan gejala penyakit tibi adalah disebabkan santau, buatan orang atau penyakit keturunan perlu diperbetul agar individu yang mempunyai gejala penyakit tibi mendapat pemeriksaan dan rawatan awal di klinik kesihatan dan hospital yang berhampiran.
Pesakit yang berhenti mengambil rawatan dan enggan meneruskan rawatan boleh dikenakan tindakan perundangan di bawah Akta Pencegahan dan Pengawalan Penyakit Berjangkit 1988 , katanya.
