Kelantan approves 19,500ha of permanent forest reserve for exploration

A TOTAL of 19,500ha of permanent forest reserve area in Kelantan has been approved for forest clearing activities under the 12th Malaysia Plan, the state assembly was told today. Menteri Besar Ahmad Yakob said felling of the trees in the affected areas was based on the Annual Felling Ration set by the National Land Council at its September 8 meeting on last year.
