ALOR SETAR: Kedah Mentri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, state Health Committee chairman Datuk Dr Mohd Hayati Othman and Kedah Health director Dr Mohd Fikri Ujang received their Pfizer-BionNTech Covid-19 vaccine jabs at Wisma Darul Aman here on Sunday (Feb 28) afternoon.

Sanusi, 48, was the first non-medical personnel in the state to receive the Covid-19 vaccination here at 5.05pm followed shortly after by Dr Hayati and Dr Fikri.

A total of 1.76 million Kedah residents, amounting to about 80% of the state's population, including non-citizens, are expected to undergo vaccination in stages from Sunday until February 2022. "I urge the rakyat to have a positive attitude to the inoculation process and be ready to take the vaccine, ” he said.
