Menteri Kanan Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob berkata, langkah berkenaan dibuat bagi memastikan orang ramai tidak berpusu-pusu membuat pengeluaran di menerusi kaunter juruwang.
Menurutnya, melalui Kementerian Kewangan kerajaan memutuskan semua institusi perbankan akan mengecualikan caj pengeluaran wang di semua rangkaian MEPS berkuatkuasa Isnin ini sehingga tempoh PKP tamat. “Orang ramai tidak perlu berpusu-pusu ke bank untuk keluar wang namun jangan pula berpusu-pusu ke ATM kerana perlu ada penjarakan sosial yang perlu dipatuhi iaitu satu meter.
“Dari segi pengurusan bank, pihak kerajaan amat menggalakkan menggunakan perbankan dalam talian seperti untuk membuat pindahan wang dan sebagainya,” katanya pada sidang media selepas Mesyuarat Khas Menteri Mengenai PKP, di Putrajaya, hari ini.
