KUALA LUMPUR: The woman who caused a stir at a luxury retail store here for refusing to wear a mask has been handed two RM1,500 compound notices by the police.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said they had completed their investigations and issued the compound notices to the woman on Sunday for breaching standard operating procedures .

"The first compound notice is for failing to scan with MySejahtera app before the entering premises, and the second is for failing to wear a face mask," he said in a statement on Sunday . The police also confirmed that the Caucasian woman in the viral video at a retail store in Kuala Lumpur is the same one who tried to enter a Bangsar shopping mall without wearing a mask.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor was quoted saying the police had identified the woman and were investigating the case.In the video, a maskless Caucasian woman is seen complaining to the shopping centre staff that the boutique worker had put his hands on her to prevent her from entering, which was denied by the employee concerned.

It immediately went viral with “Karen” – the generic name used for self-entitled white women – being a top trending topic on social media on Wednesday .

Just deport her from Malaysia and no more entry visas for her! She is endangering us Malaysians but not respecting our laws!

Felt like this internet ⭐️ will fight bck w/ diff issue/allgtn?😏 That would've been saucier.😅

Malaysians are so far behind. Actual Karens are the ones insisting people wear double masks despite being triple jabbed.

Well done to Star for giving us the conclusion. However, the report was devoid of much details. Where did she come from? Why was she in Malaysia? Her lawyer probably paid the fine for her, we don’t know. Small news but if it is viral, the public must be interested.

700 us bro, free2 bagi sakit gak tu

RM3000 fine? Doesn't seem fair for this COVIDIOT karenklcc; it should've been higher TrustNoOne

She should have been blacklisted and deported to her country.
