Pengarah Kanan Penguatkuasa JPJ Lokman Jamaan, berkata lebih 3,000 motosikal disita di seluruh negara dalam Operasi Khas Motosikal bermula 1 Sept.
Katanya, setiap motor atau kenderaan dipasar dan didaftarkan bagi kegunaan di atas jalan raya di negara ini wajib melalui prosedur pemeriksaan oleh Jawatankuasa Kelulusan Jenis Kenderaan bagi mengesahkan spesifikasi yang memenuhi standard antarabangsa. Beliau berkata, semua kenderaan disita itu diklasifikasikan “tidak mematuhi piawaian keselamatan” bagi kegunaan di atas jalan raya.
Mengulas lanjut, Lokman berkata motosikal yang disita itu juga boleh dituntut pada bila-bila masa selepas dokumentasi dan kes kesalahan diselesaikan termasuk mempunyai perlindungan insurans sewajarnya.
