However, party president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said they would not give up, and would re-strategise before preparing for the 15th General Election.
“The election did not turn out the way we hoped, but time was simply not on our side,” he said in a statement on Sunday . “This, however, is not the time for us to give up. Our struggle for a better Malaysia must continue,” he said. Shafie congratulated Barisan Nasional on their victory and thanked everyone who campaigned tirelessly for Warisan.The six candidates for Warisan in state polls on Saturday were Hishamuddin Busri for Pekan Nanas, Sandara Segaran Arumugam , Mohamed Noor Suleiman , Chen Hain Kai , Lew Ming Wen and Mohamed Ridza Busu .
All six candidates lost their deposits after failing to secure 12.5% of all votes cast in the constituency they were contesting.
