Mohd Solihan Badri, who was Johor Perikatan Nasional information chief, said Hasni’s action was not appropriate, since the meeting should have ended with good memories as the latter had led the state government with the support of both Perikatan and Pakatan Harapan assemblymen.
“This is the other side of the attitude of Johor Umno leaders, and the pressure of certain quarters within the party itself, willing to betray the principles of power sharing, support and commitment from Perikatan Nasional even if it was not signed in writing,” he added.He added that Perikatan had never betrayed the political integrity and trust given by Umno because it was aware that violating the promise would be considered selfish.
"As a component party and exco in the government, we always supported Hasni. In the Johor state assembly, even the Opposition also supported Hasni. “In fact, there was not a single word of thanks for his excos on that day, let alone seeking for our views. That is their attitude,” he said.
