KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry has denied that it issued a directive on providing voting channels in the Johor election for those who are Covid-19 positive following a viral social media post.

"Please ignore this audio recording and follow the instructions of the National Security Council and Election Commission ,” said the ministry.

Earlier, a 1.08-minute audio recording went viral, claiming that those who were Covid-19 positive could vote on the condition that they informed the ministry of their personal details such as name, address and telephone number. The audio recording also claimed that vehicles belonging to the ministry complete with personal protection equipment would ferry the patients to and from the polling centres. - Bernama
