State police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said they have detected a Johor-based company using the name Laksamana Group Malaysia believed to be offering consultation services to apply for firearms and bullets licences.
“Police have never appointed any companies or agents that offer such a service, ” he said in a statement here on Sunday .Comm Ayob Khan said applications must be made based on the standard operating procedures that have already been set where no payments were charged. He advised the public not to be duped with this matter and conduct checks before accepting any offers, especially from consultants to apply for firearms and bullets.
Comm Ayob said those with information are advised to contact the Johor police operational room at 07-225 4074.
