PASIR GUDANG, Feb 1 — Johor PKR lawmaker Hassan Abdul Karim today urged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to reconsider the appointment of his daughter, Nurul Izzah as his senior adviser, amid backlash and nepotism accusations from the public.
"To me, another person can be appointed for the senior advisory position while Nurul Izzah can play a role under other ministries,” Hassan told reporters when asked if the prime minister’s daughter should resign from the position. He said that the appointment of Anwar’s own daughter under the Ministry of Finance led by him contradicted the principles of reform that he had fought for all this time.
MUDA pencentus provokasi orang Melayu
Takkan nak lawan presiden. Nanti kena cantas.
Ramai jeles....tanpa gaji pun jeles.. previously this guy never said anything about the previous gov.
Wow, he is giving bullets to opposition. Good job Hassan Karim
From Puteri Reformasi to Puteri Papakasi!
Frankly, many ministers and dep ministers and the various advisors during the PN era were non performers who were paid large salaries. So just shut up about this issue.
Salah tetap salah
We need Izzah in government.
She unexpectedly, unbelievably, frustratingly lost in permatang pauh constituency, their generational stronghold. That's really a major blow. Now pm is adamant in appointing her. Refusing to budge. To the displeasure of many voters.
When Anwar was incarcerated, she’s Nurul Izzah, face of PKR, rising star of 🇲🇾 politics. Now she’s merely the PM’s daughter, undeserving of a role in Govt, when her peers are serving as Ministers.
He doesn't want to, sorry.
