State executive councillors and assemblyman agree to full or partial cuts, with Johor exco giving up three months of their salaries. FMTNews Covid19 Frontliner

The surge in the number of Covid-19 cases sees state government executive councillors and assemblymen agreeing to help by contributing out of their own pockets.

Johor’s exco members have decided to donate three months’ salary to the state disaster fund, while Penang’s exco members say they will be giving up their June salary for the state Covid-19 fund. Meanwhile, all Penang assemblymen have agreed to take a 30% pay cut from their June salaries to be channelled to the same fund to help combat Covid-19.
