Johor Housing and Rural Development Committee chairman Dzulkefly Ahmad said the houses would be built by state-owned companies, private developers and government-linked companies.
"Concerted efforts and cooperation between stakeholders at the state and federal level is important to ensure we are able to deliver the project," said Dzulkefly. He said this to reporters at the launch of the three-day Housing and Property Carnival 2019 at Angsana Mall Johor Baru on Friday .Dzulkefly added that the houses offered under the scheme are priced at RM42,000, RM80,000 and RM150,000 each.
"From June 2018 until to date, we have approved 14 projects for the development of RMBJ houses with 2,508 units," he said. Dzulkefly also said the South-East Johor Development Authority , which comes under the Rural and Regional Development Ministry, would develop 516 units of single-storey houses in Taman Penawar, Kota Tinggi priced at RM300,000 each.
