Johor Customs seizes more than RM135,000 in contraband in two ops
JOHOR BARU: The Customs Department here seized contraband worth more than RM135,000 in two separate operations.
Mohammad Hamiddan said the ship's 10 Indonesian crewmen, aged between 22 and 50, were detained while the vessel and liquor had been seized as part of investigations.
"This is part of the National Blue Ocean Strategy where agencies come together and conduct operations. We will continue with such practices," he said.
"A local 40-year-old man was arrested and has been charged at the Magistrate's Court here," he said, adding that the vehicle and items were seized.Read more: The Star
