KUALA LUMPUR: Rescued victims of job scams have been urged to cooperate with the police to help curb further incidents and for justice to be done in their own cases, says Datuk Seri Michael Chong.

The MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head said they were still receiving reports of people falling for fake job offers and being trafficked overseas.

The victims are reported to be in Myanmar and Laos, he said in a statement on Sunday noting the safe return of 10 victims from Cambodia.Wisma Putra had announced their return on Saturday . "Seven are from Penang, two from Johor Baru and one from Kuala Lumpur. All were rescued by Cambodian authorities," Chong said."According to our Ambassador to Cambodia Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim, seven were rescued some weeks ago while the other three were saved recently.

"He added that he was concerned that despite numerous warnings, it is evident that people are still falling for the scams based on the visas found," he added.
