THE State Public Works Department received a total of 141 projects with a total cost of RM1,635,525,165.52, under Rolling Plan 3 , in 2023.

“In addition, there are also ministries that are given exemptions based on applications and a list of justifications, which is as many as 15 projects .“Hence, the final total of projects implemented by JKR Sabah for RP3 of the 12th Malaysia Plan were 65 projects with a cost of RM 1,309,994,309.23,” he said, adding that no project has been completed last year under RP3 but 22 projects were tendered from August up to December, 2023.

“Application for exemption from the ministry for seven projects involving a cost of RM 69,727,247.00. “Hence, the final total of projects implemented by JKR Sabah for RP4 of the 12MP is as many as 128 projects with a total cost of RM 2,339,131,847.00 ,” he said. Among the steps taken to ensure the funds are spent judiciously include monitoring the implementation, physical and financial progress of the project on a regular basis, and to ensure project expenditure performance in accordance with the approved annual allocation ceiling.
