Ia berikutan tersebarnya dalam media sosial salinan surat mendakwa dikeluarkan oleh Kementerian Kewangan mengenai projek pembinaan bangunan gunasama persekutuan Kota Bharu, Tunjong di Kelantan secara rundingan terus.
Menurut kandungan surat itu, dimaklumkan bahawa Menteri Kewangan bersetuju supaya syarikat PDM Builders Sdn. Bhd., dilantik secara rundingan terus bagi melaksanakan projek tersebut dengan harga tawaran sebanyak RM450 juta. Presiden Gerakan, Datuk Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai berkata, keadaan itu menimbulkan pertanyaan serta menunjukkan kegagalan kerajaan Pakatan Harapan memenuhi janji untuk menjalankan tawaran secara tender terbuka.
Bagi Dominic Lau, memandangkan surat itu menyebut Kementerian Kewangan, maka amat wajar perkara itu dijelaskan oleh pihak kementerian. “Siapa yang lebih berkedudukan tinggi berbanding Menteri Kewangan di Kementerian Kewangan? Kenapa beliau boleh menandatangani projek dengan harga sebesar itu? Ini sangat serius,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.Tag Berkaitan
