Timbalan Pengarah Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli Kelantan/Terengganu, Roslina Bun berkata, perkhidmatan udara itu terpaksa digunakan berikutan jalan darat untuk masuk kawasan tersebut tidak boleh dilalui disebabkan kejadian tanah runtuh dan jambatan runtuh.

“Pihak jakoa mengambil inisiatif untuk menghantar bakul makanan ke pos Orang Asli yang terlibat termasuklah ke pos penempatan paling jauh iaitu Pos Gob apabila sebuah jambatan kayu menghubungkan kampung ini telah runtuh. Sementara itu, juruterbang Pangkalan Udara Wilayah Tengah Subang, Penolong Kanan Penguasa Bomba, Mohd. Azuna Mohamed Sabri memberitahu, penerbangan itu melibatkan seramai sembilan orang anggota.

“Sepatutnya kita bermula semalam tetapi disebabkan keadaan cuaca yang tidak mengizinkan kita terpaksa melakukan operasi penerbangan hari ini,” ujarnya.
