Mohd Rosdi Muhammad, 32 pleaded not guilty when the charges were read in front of judge Kamaruddin Kamsun.
According to the charge sheets, he committed the offences near a factory at Jalan Paloh in Kluang between December 2016 and March 2017. He was accused of receiving bribes of between RM800 and RM2,000 from two men who wanted to avoid having action taken against them and their factory for hiring foreigners without working permits.
Mohd Rosdi was represented by lawyer Nur Afiqah Hambali while the case was prosecuted by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission prosecution officer Suhaili Sopun.
