Pengarah Jabatan Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan Datuk Mohd Ajib Ismail berkata, ketetapan baharu itu dibuat selepas mendapat perkenan Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
Pada masa sama, beliau berkata, masjid dan surau di kawasan Perintah Kawalan Pegerakan Bersyarat dan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Pemulihan dibenar mengadakan aktiviti pengimarahan seperti kuliah Maghrib, kuliah Subuh, kuliah Dhuha dan sebagainya dengan penjarakan fizikal 1.5m. "Tazkirah tidak dibenarkan sepanjang pelaksanaan solat sunat Tarawih. Tadarus al-Quran boleh dilaksanakan dengan jumlah peserta separuh atau 50 peratus daripada kapasiti dewan solat utama dengan penjarakan fizikal 1.5m.
Selain itu, Mohd Ajib berkata, jamuan berbuka puasa atau iftar tidak dibenarkan tetapi Jawatankuasa Kariah digalakkan memberi sumbangan berbuka puasa kepada golongan memerlukan dan barisan hadapan secara berbungkus serta dihantar terus kepada penerima.
