Japan mounts rescue efforts after typhoon Hagibis

JAPAN’S military scrambled today to rescue people trapped by flooding in the aftermath of powerful typhoon Hagibis, which killed at least four people, caused landslides and burst rivers. By this morning, the significantly weakened storm had moved back off land, but it left in its wake a trail of destruction and forced Rugby World Cup organisers to cancel another match.
