Beliau berkata, pemeteraian Memorandum Persefahaman di antara Perbadanan Menteri Besar dengan sebuah syarikat dari China, iaitu Chinalco GXNF Rare Earth Development hanya untuk mengenal pasti nadir bumi yang ada. “Sebarang perlombongan sama ada emas, bijih timah, amang semua perlu dibuat kajian impak terhadap alam sekitar dan hari ini kerajaan negeri masukkan pula kajian impak sosial,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan Perak SADC Agrofest 2019 di sini, hari ini.
