Jan 6 ruling if anwaribrahim can get documents from sexual assault accuser

Kuala Lumpur: . The prime minister’s lawyer, Navpreet Singh, said judicial commissioner Johan Abdullah fixed the date after hearing submissions from both parties during an online proceeding. Navpreet said Anwar was seeking a few documents from Yusoff Rawther as pleaded in his statement of claim, among them a statutory declaration dated Nov 19, 2019.Lawyer Mahajoth Singh appeared for Yusoff.

Navpreet said Anwar’s other application for interrogatories against Yusoff had been withdrawn with costs of RM1,000 paid to the plaintiff.Yusoff filed the suit against the PKR president, accusing Anwar of sexually assaulting him 10 days before he won the Port Dickson by-election on Oct 13, 2018. He claimed to have suffered serious physical, psychological and social trauma as a result of the incident at Anwar’s residence in Segambut.
