Fahmi told FMT that Kuala Lumpur City Hall had informed him of the cause of the numerous sinkholes that appeared on Saturday night. “The pressure from this large volume of water then forced the road to crack in several locations, as water found its way just beneath the surface of the road,” he said when contacted by FMT.
