PETALING JAYA: The founder of the convenience store chain KK Super Mart has been summoned to and issued a warning by the Islamic Development Department .
Jakim said that it issued the warning to Datuk Seri Dr KK Chai on Monday over the socks controversy. "KK Super Mart has given an explanation and will take action to prevent it from recurring," said Jakim chief Datin Paduka Hakimah Mohd Yusoff in a statement on Tuesday ."Entrepreneurs, manufacturers, suppliers and importers should be cautious with sensitive issues regarding religion and race to maintain harmony in our society," she said.
