KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today said Barisan Nasional members must stop becoming the mouthpiece of the Opposition by badmouthing its own government, and instead focus on preparing for the upcoming general elections and keeping the party’s name clean.
“The world judges Malaysia well because we have a strong foundation. We seem to reject the world’s evaluation of us until it causes us to spend a lot of time thinking and discussing what is bad until we forget and don’t believe in our own strength. “If we always make the government worse, how are we going to win and capture the hearts of the people?” he asked the crowd.
Only remember .... all his huge rombongan, ambulances giving way to VVIP, diplomats being recalled back from Middle East. The only hard work was done by the Opposition .... in signing & honoring the MOU, and pushing for those reforms, including the Anti-hopping law.

Setting up of new wing BN Puteri important as coalition prepares for GE15, says ZahidKUALA LUMPUR: The setting up of Barisan Nasional Puteri, which was approved on Sunday (July 31), is important as the party prepares for the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15), says Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. He said the approval of the wing which would be sanctioned at the Barisan supreme council meeting in August would also see new Barisan Puteri candidates being nominated to contest in GE15. 'The reality before us is that, if we want to win, we must feature more new faces as proven in the Melaka state election with 87% new faces, and we managed to win over two-thirds majority. 'The formula adopted in the Johor and Melaka polls was the best and we will do better than that, we prioritised on fresh faces after learning from the political tsunami in GE14,' he told a press conference after launching the Barisan Puteri convention here. He said the preparedness of Barisan Puteri - a combination of female youth wings of component parties such as Puteri MIC and Beliawanis (MCA) - was at the optimum, thus showing the seriousness of the Barisan machinery in facing the challenges of the upcoming polls.
