He said that out of the total, 6,121 tested negative and are currently undergoing mandatory home quarantine.

"Thirty four individuals were found positive and were sent to the hospital for treatment," he said in a statement on Saturday . The Senior Minister added that 425 Malaysians had returned to the country via KLIA and KLIA2 from the Philippines, Nepal, Singapore, UAE, China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Qatar, Pakistan and Brunei on Friday

He said that three of these returnees tested positive for the virus and were sent to hospitals for treatment, while 422 were placed under mandatory home quarantine. On a separate matter, Ismail Sabri said that police had detained 53 individuals for breaching the recovery movement control order .He said those penalised, including one for operating a karaoke centre, 45 for operating pubs and nightclubs, three for opening reflexology and massage centres, three for breaching recovery MCO regulations and one involving a gathering against social distancing.
