Ismail Sabri: Infrastructure, education, income Gov't's key plans for Orang Asli

He said the government’s commitment to this was reflected in the RM305mil allocation provided specifically for the Orang Asli community in Budget 2023, compared to RM274mil for this year.

"Just like this village... however, sometimes there are villages opened in isolated locations. And that is why we have to open up more new villages," he said after attending the 'Moh Ngeteh' programme at the Sungai Tuang Orang Asli settlement here on Sunday . As an example, Ismail Sabri cited programmes implemented under the Majlis Amanah Rakyat that sent qualified young members of the Orang Asli community for tertiary studies abroad.

In a separate programme, Ismail Sabri said details for the location and development of the drag racing circuit for motorsports in Bera would be announced after the 15th general election , given that the district was one of the identified locations for a circuit when Budget 2023 was announced on Oct 7.
