PETALING JAYA: Expatriates in Malaysia are not allowed to go on holidays overseas, says Senior Minister (Defense) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

“We have received applications from expatriates who are company directors in Malaysia to go overseas for holidays.

“We have decided not to allow this, ” he said during the regular media briefing at Parliament in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday . He said the National Security Council’s decision is fair to all, as all Malaysians are also not allowed to go overseas, except for those who need to further their studies.“If they want to do so, we will not let them back in the country for a certain period of time, ” he added.
