PETALING JAYA: A total of 503 individuals received compounds while 11 others were remanded for movement control order violations on Monday (May 17).

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said among the violations committed were failure to provide entry log or equipment , not wearing face masks , not observing physical distancing , carrying passengers above the permitted limit and 165 other offences.

They checked 4,135 supermarkets, 4,924 restaurants, 2,204 factories, 3,977 banks, 927 government offices, and 2,135 hawkers. Meanwhile, under Ops Benteng, 41 foreigners had been arrested on Monday with two vessels seized, adding that 462 roadblocks were also conducted nationwide.
