MBIP mayor Datuk Haffiz Ahmad said that the programme involved around 50,000 residents whose city council participated in reducing CO2 emissions through various programmes under the initiative.
"We have been running this initiative for the past three years now and will continue to do so with our strategic partners in line with our Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon Society Plan 2025. He said this when met after the officiating ceremony of the Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon Kalendar Competition 2022 and KitaRecycle Bin @ Iskandar Puteri at Sutera Mall, here on Sunday .
Haffiz also informed that the 1.2 million kg of CO2 reduced is equivalent to the carbon absorption of 56,000 trees.
