A S'wak-based advocacy group points to the low turnout in the recent Sabah election as an example.

It would be irresponsible to hold the Sarawak election this year amid rising Covid-19 cases as many would be disenfranchised. This is according to Sarawak-based advocacy group Rise of Social Efforts which pointed out the low turnout during the recently concluded Sabah election.

Wouldn’t matter anyways, Sarawakians will not figure it out so an election is just a renewal of the old regime... An election now is smart cause those in the West most likely wouldn’t return to vote ..overall turnout will be low.

Like it or not, the provision of the law has to be complied upon the dissolution of the State Assembly.
