IPOH: Ipoh has the potential to be a film city like Mumbai in India, says Datuk Rumaizi Baharin.

The Ipoh mayor said that the City Council has targeted to make the city into a location for shooting films within 10 years' time.

“Our focus now is to have the relevant infrastructure and technology, including better Internet connectivity. In two years' time, we hope that we will have all the infrastructure needed to make Ipoh one of the best cities in the South East Asia region for filming,” he said. Rumaizi said this at a press conference at a hotel here on Thursday to promote"Juang", a film that was inspired by how frontliners deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.Article type: free
