'It's a first. It's like he has disappeared,' Perak exco Paul Yong says on Zamri Man.

Ipoh mayor Zamri Man, who was appointed in 2015, may be sacked after going absent without leave.

Perak exco Paul Yong, who is in charge of the local government portfolio, said he was informed that Zamri was unwell."The situation with the mayor – it's a first. It's like he has disappeared. "He didn't give any letter to the local government authorities or even to me saying that he's sick," he was quoted as saying by"I only learned about him being unwell from the local council secretary and from the Ipoh City Council, but no information about his condition and whereabouts.Yong said a mayor or local council president is entitled up to 90 days of sick leave, but Zamri had used up all of them.
