The 49-year-old slashed his father with what is believed to be a glass bottle around 7pm in the storeroom of the older man's sundry shop located within the market.Ipoh Deputy OCPD Supt Mohamed Nordin Abdullah said police believed the motive of the murder was a quarrel between the two men.
“It is believed that the father always scolded the suspect, who lived with him, for not listening to him.Supt Nordin said the suspect’s younger sibling told police that he had been mentally unsound for the past 20 years.“A post-mortem will be carried out tomorrow ,” he added.
