It seems as though Apple will be dropping the notch on the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, instead replacing them with an i-shaped cut out on the display.

That being said, Apple may be removing the notch off the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, but you’ll still be getting an i-shaped punch hole cutout on the display, presumably for the front camera and Face ID sensors. In fact, if you look closely, it seems as though despite Apple taking away the notch, the camera and sensor hardware itself is in the same place as before.

Other than that, Mac Otakara also got their hands on 3D mock-ups of the upcoming iPhone 14 series. They claim that the regular iPhone 14 will have a slightly larger camera bump compared to the iPhone 13, as well as a slight tweak to the overall shape of the corner edges. The iPhone 14 Max meanwhile fit perfectly in a iPhone 13 Pro Max case, but of course the camera bump was significantly smaller than the Pro Max’s camera bump.

It does go without saying of course that these all remain rumours and speculation for now and that you should take them with a pinch of salt. We are getting closer and closer to the iPhone 14’s expected launch sometime in September though, and we’ll just need to wait until then to know for sure what Apple has up their sleeve.
