Intel’s Raptor Lake Refresh desktop CPUs are expected to make their full stage debut next week, but that clearly hasn’t stopped some defiant and unscrupulous retailers from breaking the embargo and selling them early. Case in point, a Redditor in Indonesia who recently managed to purchase a Core i7-14700K.
The Redditor, who goes by the handle PantatRebus , says in their post that not only was he able to find one of Intel’s latest 14th Gen desktop CPUs, but also managed to buy one straight off the shelf. And while they are free from the shackles of NDAs and embargoes, the retailer that sold them the processor will undoubtedly suffer the wrath of the chipmaker, in one form or another.
As for how much they paid for it, PantatRebus says that they paid more 7.45 million Rupiah, which is approximately RM2,243.
