Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob berkata, nilai itu dijana melalui pelaburan sebanyak 28 buah syarikat asing terdiri daripada syarikat dalam sektor Pusat Data; Penyedia Perkhidmatan Teknologi Maklumat ; Teknologi Kandungan Kreatif dan Global Business Services .
Ismail Sabri menambah, negara turut merekodkan Pelaburan Digital Langsung Domestik sebanyak RM4.76 bilion setakat 24 Ogos lalu. “Dengan memiliki infrastruktur bertaraf dunia, ekosistem digital yang holistik dan bakat digital yang berpengetahuan tinggi, hari ini, Malaysia mampu menjadi destinasi pelaburan digital utama di ASEAN,” katanya ketika menyampaikan ucaptama pada majlis Kongres Inovasi dan Teknologi Antarabangsa 2022 di Spice Arena, Bayan Baru dekat sini hari ini.
Dalam pada itu, Ismail Sabri berharap kerjasama rentas kementerian dengan agensi yang terjalin erat pada hari ini dapat dilipatgandakan dalam usaha merangsang ekosistem teknologi dan inovasi demi kemakmuran negara dan kesejahteraan rakyat.
