“Namun begitu, peningkatan lebih perlahan bagi kumpulan pengangkutan iaitu 2.3% berbanding yang dicatatkan pada Mac 2023 sedikit sebanyak mengimbangi inflasi Malaysia daripada terus meningkat lebih tinggi,” tambah DOSM. DOSM menjelaskan kumpulan makanan dan minuman bukan alkohol menyumbang 29.5% kepada keseluruhan wajaran IHP merekodkan peningkatan sederhana iaitu 6.3% .
“Pelaksanaan Skim Harga Maksimum Musim Perayaan yang bermula pada 15 hingga 30 April 2023 selama 16 hari sedikit sebanyak meredakan inflasi komponen ini daripada terus meningkat,” tambahnya. DOSM memaklumkan bagi inflasi di peringkat negeri, sembilan negeri merekodkan peningkatan di bawah paras nasional 3.3% dengan Kedah dan Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan masing-masing merekodkan peningkatan paling rendah sebanyak 2.0%.
