IN a turnaround, police have given up fighting the proposed Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission but are looking to newly minted Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador to ensure their interests are upheld. They believe Hamid would push for the welfare of policemen to be taken into account when police meet the Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Centre tomorrow ahead of the implementation which is expected soon.
