Immigration DG says passport queues due to demand, not shortage

Immigration director-general Khairul Dzaimee Daud says people should not swamp Immigration offices first thing in the morning for passport renewals, but go later in the day. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, June 9, 2022.

THE congestion reported at the Immigration offices, especially in the Klang Valley, is due to the sharp increase in applications and renewals of passports, according to Immigration director-general Khairul Dzaimee Daud. He said passport applications and renewals had increased by 65%, causing congestion at Immigration offices, especially in the Klang Valley.

Queues are due to inefficiency, laziness of the immigration DG, plus don’t care attitude!

Brainstorming is a foreign concept for this people

So you did not plan for this demand! Really? What were you people doing for 2 years during pandemic? Why can’t you people do some brainstorming to overcome this demand when on 2 years. It all boils to one thing.. that’s planning!

Jika demand meningkat pun, ... takkanlah barisan boleh terlalu panjang dan masanya sehingga sehari suntuk. Saya rasa sistem yg tidak cekap. Imigresen patut menetapkan jumlah tertentu saja dlm sehari. Sesiapa yg tidak mengambil pd masa yg ditetapkan, ... diberi tarikh baru.
