JOHOR BARU: The Immigration Department will continue looking for the best formula to address the traffic issues at the two land checkpoints with Singapore.
Johor Immigration director Baharuddin Tahir said he had instructed his team to come up with solutions following an audience with Regent of Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim on Tuesday . "The Regent is concerned about the situation at the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar and Kompleks Sultan Abu Bakar as the two land checkpoints are dubbed the busiest in the world.
"He wants us to improve the system and facilities related to the Causeway and Second Link as both checkpoints also contribute to the nation’s economy," he told a press conference here on Wednesday when asked to comment about the meeting with the Regent.
